RICHARD GADSON AND THE GBR MILITARY SUICIDE AWARENESS SUZUKI QUALIFY NO. 13 IN DEBUT AT TEXAS NHRA FALLNATIONALS

ENNIS, Texas (Oct. 15, 2022) – Competing in their first NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series event this weekend at the Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex, Richard Gadson landed the Military Suicide Awareness / Anderson Toyota Suzuki in the No. 13 qualifying spot Saturday.

Richard Gadson, teamed up with Robert Brandt and bike owner James Johnson, put together a series of four consistent qualifying runs starting with a 6.904-second pass at 195.65 mph that would eventually earn the Mission 22 / Stop Soldier Suicide branded Suzuki the No. 13 qualifying spot. Under the lights, Gadson would have another clean pass at 6.930 and 194.69. Gadson would continue his streak of quality runs on day two of qualifying leading off with a 6.970-second run at 196.48 mph in warmer conditions. In his final qualifying try, Gadson, who co-tunes with Michael Goñi, would handle the Military Suicide Awareness Bike to a 6.921 run at 195.88.

“This is all surreal to me, honestly. Twenty bikes here and to get Mission22 and Stop Soldier Suicide qualified on the Military Suicide Awareness Suzuki here at Texas Motorplex in our first NHRA national event is amazing,” said Gadson. “I’m so happy right now. We have been working hard off this week. Tried to test on Wednesday and couldn't even get out of the water box. Then to make four solid runs and qualify with a 6.90-second pass out of the box was just hard work paying off. Hopefully we can swing for the fences and give Joey a run for his money first round, wish us luck."

Gadson will face Joey Gladstone in the first round of eliminations on Sunday at the Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex. Competition in Pro Stock Motorcycle is set to begin at noon. Television coverage will be on FOS Sports 1 (FS1) Sunday starting with a qualifying show at 10:00 a.m. ET and eliminations coverage at 10:30 p.m. ET.
